Study in New Zealand from Kenya: English-taught degrees, up to 25 hours of work a week during term, and up to three years of post-study work.
New Zealand's universities are known for research, agriculture, engineering, health and the environment. Most bachelor's degrees for international students cost about NZ$30,000 to NZ$45,000 a year, and up to about NZ$72,000 for professional degrees at the University of Auckland.
Visa: you apply online for a Fee Paying Student Visa (NZ$850). You need an offer of place, tuition paid as required, NZ$20,000 a year for living costs, a chest x-ray and, for longer courses, a medical exam.
Entry after KCSE: usually a foundation year, such as Taylors College Auckland's programme for the University of Auckland. A Levels and the IB give direct entry to most bachelor's degrees.
Intakes: February and July.
Work and after study: students can work up to 25 hours a week during term and full time in scheduled holidays. After a degree at level 7 or higher, you may get a post-study work visa of up to three years.
