Study in Spain from Kenya: English-taught degrees at private universities and business schools, up to 30 hours of work a week, and up to 24 months after graduating to look for a job.
Spain has lower living costs than most of Western Europe. Public universities set fees by region, roughly €1,000 to €12,000 a year for non-EU students, and most of their programmes are taught in Spanish. Private universities and business schools, such as our partner EU Business School in Barcelona, teach in English for about €6,000 to €20,000 or more a year. Our partner One Air offers pilot training in Spain.
Visa: Kenyan students apply for a national student visa at the Spanish Embassy in Nairobi. You must show €600 a month for living costs (100% of IPREM, €7,200 a year), private health insurance without co-payments and, for courses over six months, a police certificate and a medical certificate.
Entry after KCSE: private universities and business schools accept KCSE, sometimes with a foundation programme. Public universities need your certificate recognised first (homologación). A Levels and the IB give direct entry to private universities.
Intakes: September, with some programmes starting in February.
Work and after study: students can work up to 30 hours a week if it fits their studies. Graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher can apply for a permit of up to 24 months to look for work.
MultiWorld International helps you choose a programme, apply, and prepare your visa documents, translations and legalisation.
