Study Abroad With A Levels From Kenya: Direct Entry Guide
Updated: 2 days ago
Short answer: Yes. A Levels (Cambridge or Pearson) give Kenyan students direct entry to bachelor's degrees in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and Malaysia, and with suitable subjects to German universities. In the USA, good A Level results can earn up to a year of university credit. Your subjects and grades decide which courses you can enter.

Do AS Levels count?
They help. Many universities consider AS results, and in some countries AS Levels plus IGCSE are enough for foundation-free entry to certain programmes. Full A Levels give the most options.
Can I apply before my results come out?
Yes. In the UK you apply through UCAS with predicted grades and receive conditional offers. The equal-consideration deadline for 2027 entry is 13 January 2027. Other countries also accept predicted grades for conditional offers.
Which subjects should I take?
Choose subjects for the degree you want: maths for economics, computing and engineering; biology and chemistry for medicine, pharmacy and nursing.
